IFBB Women's Physique Pro

My name is Santana Francisco. I am a psychiatric RN and ifbb pro womens physique bodybuilder. I am making my pro debut at Tupelo Pro this August. I have been training since 2018 but did not start competing until 2021. I got my pro card in 2022 in 3 shows. I found bodybuilding after a stint of depression and suicidal ideation. In 2016, I did not finish nursing school as I was supposed to. I failed my final exam 3 days before graduation. I was a scholar and my name was all over the graduation program. My friends and family were already on their way so I walked to save myself from embarrassment. After they left, I got drunk and high and went to the lake to drown myself. I walked into the water but when it got to my chest, I looked up at the moon and saw my mom crying so I swam to the shore. That was the beginning of me starting a new life. I went back to school and obtained a liberal education degree from Langston in 2019x  a nursing degree from OU in 2021, and then a pro card in 2022. If I had been successful in my attempt, I wouldn’t be here now, achieving everything I’ve put my mind too. Life is a marathon, not a sprint and my life is just beginning.
